So we spent some time with Muse Beta 4, Adobe’s attempt to bridge the gap between designers and coders. For those not familiar with this software, here is the description directly from their website:
Create websites as easily as you create layouts for print. Design and publish HTML pages to the latest web standards without writing code. With easy-to-use master pages, built-in tools for interactivity and more, Muse makes it a snap to produce distinctive, professional websites.
Just because you think that Ajax is cool and you really want to build an Ajax application doesn’t mean that you should. If you understand what Ajax is good for, you’ll be better off when you do get the call and can create an application that uses Ajax well, and not just for the sake of using Ajax.
Most Web pages are intended to answer a question or assist a customer with something. But if you’re answering the wrong questions, you can end up annoying your customers more than you help them. Make sure that your content is focused on the goals of your customers, not the goals of your marketing department.
